Elrajtolt a MotoGP
2008 március 9-én elrajtolt az idei MotoGP sorozat. Természetesen összegyűltünk páran, és megtekintettük a futamokat, hiszen kíváncsiak voltunk, hogy idén mire számíthatunk a magyar fiúktól, a magyar csapattól. 2008 a hatvanadik éve a gyorsasági motoros világbajnoki sorozatnak, azaz a MotoGP-nek. Ez alkalommal rendhagyó éjszakai futammal startolt az idény Qatarban.
Jól kezdődött a vasárnap Talmácsi Gábornak, hiszen a bemelegítő edzésen ő volt a leggyorsabb. A futamon jól rajtolt a második pozícióból, majd szinte végig vezetett. Talma nagyszerűen versenyzett, magabiztosan utasította maga mögé vetélytársait. Amikor már úgy nézett ki el tud lépni az őt üldözőktől, ekkor jött az, amire semmilyen jel nem utalt. A verseny tizenötödik körében, a világbajnok az élről csúszott hátra egy motorhiba miatt. A motorblokk kétszer is megragadt, és Talma a tizenkettedik helyen ért célba, amiért négy világbajnoki pontot kapott. A vállsérüléssel is remeklő Aspar versenyző Sergio Gadea szerezte meg az első helyet.
Talmácsi Gábor nyilatkozata:
"Nehéz szavakat találnom, hiszen remekelt a motorom tizennégy körön át. Négy körrel a vége előtt éreztem, hogy megragad a blokk, csodával határos módon sikerült versenyben tartanom magam. Amikor már azt hittem, hogy minden rendben lesz, és vissza tudok zárkózni a többiekre, akkor ismét beragadt a motor és további helyezéseket estem vissza. Végül tizenkettedik lettem, amiért négy pontot adnak, de ettől nem vagyok boldogabb. Még nem tudjuk a hiba pontos okát, csak azt, hogy nem szerelési gond okozta a malőrt. Gratulálok a csapattársamnak Gadea-nak, aki sérülten is remek teljesítmény nyújtott és megnyerte a nagydíjat. Elkeseredésre semmi okom, mert ma sokáig nagyon jó volt a gép, Jerezig kijavítjuk a hibát és újra a pódiumért csatázhatok majd."
Térjünk át a 250cc-s kategóriában remekelő idősebb Tóth Imre által vezetett csapatra.
Kétség kívül Héctor Barberá volt az egyik főszereplője a szezonnyitó nagydíjnak, ahol végül a második helyezést szerezte meg. A Toth Pepe Aprilia csapat versenyzője sokáig tartotta az első helyezését, de sajnos az utolsó két körben veszített két helyezést, de egyet vissza tudott szerezni, így másodikként ért célba a győztes Mattia Pasini mögött. Barberának a bal karjával adódott valami probléma a futam alatt, így a futam második felében az erősödő fájdalmai miatt veszített a tempójából és elveszítette első helyét is. Mindemellett ez egy nagyszerű eredmény a magyar csapat spanyol versenyzőjétől. Nem kell túl sok bátorság ahhoz, hogy kijelentsük ezek alapján : a Toth team megszerezheti idén első futamgyőzelmét, sőt akár az egyéni világbajnoki címre is esélyes.
A következő futamot három hét múlva rendezik a spanyolországi Jerezben.
